After many years of attending craft fairs and dabbling in yard sales, auctions and estate sales, one thing I came to understand and appreciate. The love and fasination of quilts and the art of quilting. Living in an area that is rich in mountain crafts, that being the great Smokey Mountains, quilting and quilts generate a huge amont of interest. I myself became interested in this form of art at an early age and got the inspiration to take up the craft. One thnig led to another and soon I found myself quilting for others. Soon I was dispaying and selling quilts in consignment shops and other merchant outlets. Although it has been most enjoyable and rewarding, I don't have the physical ability to continue quilting at that level and only do it now for family and close friends.

Having visited many shops and talking with shoppers, one thing became appearent. Most, but not all had the desire to quilt but didn't know how to begin.The most frequent statement I heard was "I wish I could make something like that" or "if I only new how to do that". Maybe you've had these same thoughts also or know someone who has.

Thus came the inspiration for this web site and is dedicated it to quilt lovers and and those wanting to learn the art of quilting. It is still a work in progress and continued improvements are made regularly. We have paid particular attention to the beginner quilter but offer more advanced quilting techniques as well. Although there are many quilting sites on line today, we strive to provide you with all the necessary tools and instruction to begin your quilting journey.
